Benenden is equidistant from the three Kentish Towns of Tunbridge Wells, Ashford and Maidstone (all about 17 miles).

The Holt is 75 metres off New Pond Road and shares its drive with a lovely white weatherboarded church - indicated by the on the map.

By train ....

The nearest station is Staplehurst (7.5 miles) - this gives regular fast services to London, Ashford International and the Kent Coast. To get to The Holt a taxi will be required (it is a small station but the MTC taxis have an office that is sometimes open - it is best to prebook). Also see other taxis below. By bus ....

The local bus is the 297 (it is not very frequent but look for bus 297 at Hams Travel for times). The bus runs from Tunbridge Wells taking about 75 minutes ride to reach The Holt and then it is a further 15 minutes to reach Tenterden - about 7 0r 8 times a day in each direction. There is a station at Tunbridge Wells with a fast service to London and the coast.

By taxi ....

The Holt is just a 10 minute diversion off the High Weald Landscape Trail - a glorious way to get to the Holt!
